The 2022 Project Citizen Research Program (PCRP) National Showcase highlighted excellent student public policy projects from schools across the country. The projects were created by classes that took part in the PCRP, a national research project funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant to study the efficacy of the Project Citizen curricular program and teacher professional development. Students tackled topics important to their schools and communities, such as preserving the local tree canopy, decorating graduation caps, needing a school holiday for Eid-al-Fitr, supporting teen mental health, and enacting prison reform. Each region in the PCRP submitted three class portfolios to the national showcase.
